The Final Kingdom

The Final KingdomTombquest, #5

Written by Michael Northrop

Being imprisoned by The Order and cut off from his mother and friends, Alex feels it is his darkest hour. But luckily his best friend Ren’s brilliant mind comes up with a plan of escape and the group must now figure out of way to regain the Book of Lost Spells. Those spells are “now in the hands of the world’s most dangerous organization, The Order, and they are using them to become stronger; creating stone warriors, summoning an undying army, and breaking open the borders between worlds.” (back cover)
Can Alex, his mother and friends take back the book, find the portal to New York and find the spell that will send The Order and the Death Walkers to their final demise? Or will time run out and the world will be overrun with mummies? The action picks right up from book 4 in this, the last book of the series Tombquest, Book 5, The Final Kingdom. This is a page turning adventure that is hard to put down. There is plenty of action and peril blended into Egyptian Mythology and the modern day world. The villains are definitely evil and outsmarting them keeps the main characters on their toes. There is a satisfying conclusion to wrap up this series very nicely. I really liked this series and would highly recommend this for readers who are looking for action and adventure.
