Out of the Ice: How Climate Change Is Revealing the Past, by Claire Eamer and Drew Shannon

Out of the Ice: How Climate Change Is Revealing the Past
Written by Claire Eamer, Illustrated by Drew Shannon

An informative book explaining how climate change has affected science. Ice caps are melting rapidly, which leads to the discovery of artifacts that are thousands of years old. However, they deteriorate quickly in the exposed air and must be cataloged and if necessary be preserved for future research. These artifacts allow scientists to understand how our ancestors lived and what animals lived during their time that are now extinct. Overall, a good resource to introduce children to the ice age and understanding the effects of global warming.
