That’s right, Granite Media finally has an active twitter account: @gsdmedia. You can follow us at this link (http://twitter.com/gsdmedia), and you can see our most recent tweets in the right sidebar of this website. We will be posting reminders on upcoming events, one sentence review synopses that link back to the reviews on this site, little bits of library/literary/education/technology news, and other items of interest. Shortly we will create lists of cool library-related twitter accounts to follow, such children’s and YA authors and illustrators, professional librarians, other book review sources, publishers and booksellers, and so on. If you have a twitter account, either personal or for your school or library, please follow us and let us know your handle so we can follow you.
Genres
We now have a nice list of genres in the sidebar at right, so if you are looking for new books in a certain genre, such as Sea Adventure or Urban Fantasy, just look on our genre list and click on the genre to see recent books reviewed. One of the beauties of electronic content is that we can tag and virtually “shelve” a book or piece of information in as many different places as we want at the same time, so we will be playing with this. As time goes on we will expand this sidebar section with groupings such as award winners and age ranges, and we welcome your input on good genres and groupings to add.
More Links
We’ve also started adding links to useful resources in the sidebar, commencing with library and educational organizations. We will soon include links to other book review websites and publications, author and illustrator websites, approved library book vendors, and more.
