Fourteen-year-old Alex Gray wakes up one morning to find that everything has changed: his room, his mom, his dad, his body, and even his name. He is no longer Alex Gray. He is now Philip Garamond. Alex was scrawny, fair skinned, played the clarinet, had one best friend and stayed away from girls. Or maybe they stayed away from him. Philip is muscular, handsome, athletic, popular, and has a string of girlfriends. Alex tries to find his way in Philip’s body, reaching out to his own family and his best friend David, only to be rejected. He finally finds a group on the Internet that claim to be in the same situation as Alex. What Alex has experienced is psychic evacuation. “The psyche or soul leaves its original body and transfers to another. This usually occurs when the original body is near death.”
Alex does discover that he is still alive. He was in a hit and run accident and now is in a coma. Alex misses his family and wants his body and his life back. He has to find a way to reunite his soul with his body. I thought the book would be funny but it turned out to be a more serious story. The book does have some explicit language. I would recommend this for junior high and high school.

Sounds like a book our para-normal and sci-fi followers would like. But why do authors feel it necessary to include explicit language? Our students get enough of that elsewhere.
Congrats, Jane, you are the winner of Flip. Thanks for looking at the reviews.
