The story is about a teenage girl named Tessa who lives with her father in Portland, Oregon. When Tessa and her father buy a bunch of books at an auction, they end up with a crate that has an old book and tapestry in it. Tessa is drawn to the tapestry for reasons she can’t explain. When she pulls on a loose string, she releases a young nobleman named Will who has be trapped in the tapestry for 500 years by a witch named Gray Lily. The story goes back and forth from modern day Portland to Will’s time of 16th century Cornwall. A great book for those who like historical fiction. Definitely a book for young adults.
