The Lunar Chronicles, Book 1
Written by Marissa Meyer
In this futuristic retelling of Cinderella, sixteen year old Cinder is cyborg: part human and part machine. She lives with her stepmother and her two stepsisters, where she is treated like a second class citizen. Cinder is considered to be the best mechanic in New Beijing, which is why she meets Prince Kai. Wearing a disguise, Prince Kai takes his android to Cinder’s for repair. This book has everything: mystery, plague, romance, hateful stepmother, and a wicked queen. I couldn’t put the book down.
It is the first of four books called the Lunar Chronicles. After Cinder escapes the wicked Lunar Queen she will team up with Little Red Riding Hood, in the second book, Rapunzel in the third and Snow White in the fourth book. The second book comes out January 2013. A must read!

I have a copy of this book to give away to a secondary school library. The first person to leave a comment on this post asking for it will receive it. Thanks.
Ever since Cindy said how much she loved this book, I’ve wanted to get it for our library. I would love to read it myself.
Awesome. It’s coming to your school.
