Delly loves life! She can find excitement and adventure in any situation but lately she’s been finding a lot of trouble. She needs a surpresent (surprise & present) fast. She doesn’t recognize the surpresent when it arrives. Life has to change for Delly quickly or she will have to go to a school for troubled children. This is a lovely book that deals with difficult and sometimes sad situations. I’ll admit it: I cried more than once. Subjects: Friendship, trust, abuse. Third grade and up?
