Scarlet is a great second book in a series. The Lunar Chronicles are a very clever twist on some very well known fairy tales. In this installment we meet Scarlet (who is nothing like Cinder), a young girl determined to find her missing grandmother. Unbeknownst to her she has enlisted the help of a “wolf” named Wolf (what else?), and there is danger lurking around every tree, so to speak. Meyer does a wonderful job weaving the two tales of Cinder and Scarlet together, and I couldn’t put it down.
