Written and Illustrated by Annette LeBlanc Cate
A very busy book for those interested in bird watching, it still contains many facts, from identifying bird species to encouraging sketching the birds seen. Much of the text is written in dialog bubbles and on one page there are at least 60 different species shown from across the country. The book is sketched, not photographed. The book is crammed with information and a good amount of humor. It is great for those interested in knowing about birds and who want to pour over the facts presented. I find that spring brings a big surge with children wanting to investigate birds. It will be interesting to see if they are satisfied with these sketches or prefer actual photographs.
