Written and Illustrated by Troy Cummings
This is a cute easy chapter book that would appeal to boys in particular. Strange things are happening in Alexander’s new town and the cause is an uprising of those balloons that wave back and forth in front of stores, etc. I love that the author took something so common and made a fun mystery that has a horror movie feel to it but isn’t really scary. Great for readers in 1st through 3rd grade, and especially for boys. This is the first in a series so it will be fun to see what “scary” monsters Alexander runs into next.
