Written and Illustrated by Deborah Freedman
Fish and Snail live in a book. As Snail sits he patiently waits for fish to come tell him a story each day. One day Fish is so excited about what he has to tell that he wants to show Snail the story. Snail doesn’t want to leave, so after a little argument Fish goes on by himself. The illustrations are engaging and enjoyable, and the story line leads to discussions of friendship, exploring new things, and being brave. I found the story line unique and well worth the read.
