Pedro travels far away, all by himself, to visit his cousins Sancho, Bella, Lola, Ava and Maria. When snow begins to fall that night, the cousins are so excited, but not Pedro. “I have never seen snow. I don’t think will like it.” And why? Because it is cold! Follow Pedro as he experiences his first snowfall and the fun it creates. Will Pedro change his mind? There is a touch of magic in this book that I loved. I still remember my first snowfall and that memory came back reading this book. You don’t have to be a child to feel that. The soft muted colors of the illustrations complete the magic. First Snow is a beautiful book that very young children are sure to love and want to share in the fun and joy. Now if we could just get some snow to fall here….
