Written by Lori Nichols
Sisters Maple and Willow do everything together – eat, play, sleep – they even speak their own language (pig latin). Sometimes Maple is bossy; sometimes Willow is irritating, but they are the best of friends. However, one day Willow defies Maple’s wishes and Maple gets angry – there are angry words and pushing involved. They are sent to their separate rooms until they finally miss each other, apologize, and finally meet halfway in the hall. They run out to play together again, finding a way to compromise.
This is the second Maple book by Lori Nichols. The text and illustrations are sweet. Children should be able to identify with the sibling squabbles that are common occurrences in most homes.
I love this book as much as I love Maple.
