Written by John Agard, Illustrated by Neil Packer
This book was a great read. It is the story of how books came to be, told by a book. It starts with early forms of language and writing on clay tablets, then moves on to early forms of alphabets, and early forms of books on rolled paper. The book talks about how early paper was made out of plants, and how feathers were used as early forms of pencils. Then the book goes into how books were made with spines. Invention of the typewriter made writing books easier. It concludes in the present day when we have e-books. Some of the best parts of this book are the quotes from authors of books. It would be a fun read and has some interesting facts about how books came to be in this world.
