Written by Dave Barry
Wyatt is in eighth grade and is in love with Suzana. He’s short. She’s tall. He’s a nerd. She’s popular. So he just settles for getting her to laugh at an occasional joke. That is until the class trip to Washington D. C. Wyatt and his friend Matt sit by mysterious men on the plane. During a scuffle, Matt pinches an odd looking device from the men’s backpack. Soon Wyatt is on the adventure of his life running from possible terrorists. But it’s all worth it because Suzana has joined forces with him, and nothing is too bad when a pretty girl is with you, right? Though Barry’s story-line is often far fetched, there are many laugh-out loud moments and it offers a fun, quick read. Great for students in grades 6 through 9.
