Written by Jeanne Ryan
When Vee gets involved in an online game called Nerve, she becomes a sensation. In order to win the game, players must perform increasingly bizarre and personality-distorting dares. Little does she know, this is one game you can’t pull out of. As the stakes get higher, online and offline, Vee realizes she’s being stalked. Who is the mysterious person behind the game? Are they her stalker or is it someone more dangerous? Will she survive to get the Grand Prize?
Although the characters sometimes fall short in engagement and the motives seem off, the plot is intense and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. Some subplots clash with the main plot line and its credibility. Nevertheless, fans of psychological action thrillers with a bit of romance will enjoy reading this book.
