Did you know that The Star-Spangled Banner is America’s most famous flag? Well, it is and this book tells interesting facts about the flag and the song that was written to honor it. The size of the flag in its original state was HUGE: 30 feet high and 42 feet long! I love that Mary Pickersgill was paid handsomely to make it. There are so many more facts to share, but I’ll leave it to the readers to find out for themselves. Teachers of younger grades will appreciate this book as resource to use in the classroom.
