Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon is by far one of the best contemporary books you will ever read. As far as Madeline Whittier knows she has a disease that is more rare than true love. The disease has left her stuck in her sanitized house since she was a few months old and is almost eighteen. Her mother and her nurse Carla are the only people that are allowed in and out of her house. A new set of neighbors shake her world and leave her to wonder if she can ever leave her house. “Everything’s a risk. Not doing anything is a risk. It’s up to you.” My favorite character was Olly, he threw a cake a Madeline’s window, they’ve been friends ever since.
This is a great read and would recommend it to fans of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars and All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. Definitely a book worth five stars.
