This small, yellow, bespectacled fish looks like a poor little guy that the big tough octopus can tease and eventually snack on but all is not as it seems. Amazing illustrations, fun text, a twist, and an ending worth cheering for make this one of my top books of the year. The book starts out and ends wordlessly which I enjoyed. Do not miss comparing the end pages after reading the story. It’s too bad we have to mostly cover them with the dust jacket. My only complaint about the book is that the script the story is written in will make it difficult for younger students to read on their own.
