Written by Amy Ludwig VanDerwater, Illustrated by Dylan Metrano
This is a beautiful and simple book suitable for many readers and classrooms. The cut paper illustrations by Dylan Metrano are amazing, with accuracy and details to help bird watchers identify each one of the twenty “every day” birds that are featured. The book is wonderful visually, and the rhyming verse that accompanies the pictures includes a fact about each bird. Four pages at the back of the book give more facts for interested readers.
