Written by Jeanne Willis, Illustrated by Jarvis
When the misguided Pilchard-Browns, a penguin family, find themselves 12,430 miles away from home, they rely on the adventurous Mr. White, a polar bear, to guide them back to their South Pole home. Mr. White must make the 12,430 mile return trip home to the North Pole and to his happiness finds a surprise that will reunite the friends. Poles Apart is a funny little friendship story that along the way teaches what animals live at which Pole. There is a dry wit to the humor that is whimsical and heartwarming, completely matching the colorful illustrations.
