This is a great book about friendship, bullies, revenge, family, and school pranks. Lindsay Eland does a wonderful job of winding all of these different elements into a captivating book.
There are five unlikely friends who combine their talents to find revenge on a principal and his son who are both the biggest bullies in the school. Adam who is the mastermind and his friend Perk who is the computer genius recruit three other students who have been bullied to pull off one enormous prank on the principal and his son. Pearl is the heartthrob of every boy in school and an expert violinist. Ray is the big strongman whom everyone thinks is dumb but actually is not and wants to become an engineer. Dutch is the dork that gets bullied the most and has the most to gain because of his sensitive personality.
Lindsay Eland does something different by naming each chapter after one of the five characters. She carefully forms a great friendship among the five then brings in the problems that families and personalities add to relationships. Their friendship finally implodes because of these problems as they each do their part in planning the ultimate prank. This makes them stronger as they come back together in their attempt to get revenge.
Good book. Easy to read with good continuity and a great plot. I would give it 4 Stars.
