This is an interesting book about sixth-grade girls who want to fit in with the popular girls. A new girl moves in and finds out that she doesn’t understand the ins and outs of her new town. There is a jinx put on people if they break the rules at the Harvest Festival. Hattie has to figure out how to get back in the good graces of her friends after she is jinxed for breaking the rules. They all wear the same style of clothes, and like boys. ut it hurts when you are the one left out. I think most 12-year-old girls would relate to this book for sure.
