The Way Home in the Night

Written and Illustrated by Akiko Miyakoshi

This is a very simple story of a mother bunny carrying her young bunny home after dark. The young bunny talks about what he sees, hears and senses during this nighttime walk. There are lights, smells, sounds and sights that make him think of others’ experiences. When little bunny gets home and tucked in bed he relives the walk and the things he saw: the party under way, the pie out of the oven, the bookstore closing. What a wonderful time to be carried by his mother.
The illustration are primarily black and white with just a touch of neutral color. A perfect book for nodding off to sleep.
