This book was amazing and has something for everyone: friendship, hardship, love, mystery, and a little silliness. This book follows the story of a boy named Noah set in 1989; one day his parents pick him up from school and they get straight on a plane to East Germany…no explanation. While there, he learns a lot about how things are done in other countries with government that is very different than in the US, and he also makes a lifelong friend, Cloud. Together, they go through hardships and make the best of it, and form a bond that will last forever.

While this book isn’t recommended for elementary libraries, it sure sounds like one I would like to read. Thanks for the review!
