Ivy

Written by Katherine Coville

This story is about a girl named Ivy who lives with her grandmother who heals animals. As the story progresses Ivy learns the importance of respecting every living creature, including humans. She also learns to always help someone in need and that being yourself is what makes you unique. I loved the griffin in the story because he wants to be helpful not trouble to people in the town. In addition, he takes his job very seriously in guarding a dog named Poof. Overall the story is about learning to do more in life than living in a tidy house.

  1. I saw this receive a positive review on another site also. It looks like a good early chapter book.

  2. Thank you for this review as I think this book would be a great addition for easy chapters. I really like the sweet messages it teaches and the book cover and illustrations look like the go perfectly with the story. I think I will try to read this one because I have always liked Katherine Coville.
