Fletcher and his friends have entered the Ether to escape the orcs, but the orcs have a score to settle and a battle to plan. Khan, the albino orc, believes he is destined to rule the world. Unfortunately, they are not the only danger of the Ether. Fletcher and company must also survive its poisonous atmosphere and dangerous demons. If they succeed they will face homegrown enemies and opposition in their own lands as they try to bring humans, elves, and dwarves together to fight off the orcish invasion. Although the action is fairly slow-paced until the end, Battlemage is a satisfying conclusion to the Summoner series. A prequel is planned for 2018.
