As I got into this book I realized it had references to Beauty and the Beast, so of course I wanted to continue reading it. I love the twisted fairy tales. This is a very twisted Beauty and the Beast, and I loved it. Yeva is the Beauty, and that is the name her Father calls her. She loves to hunt and be in the forest. Her father loses all their money on a bad adventure and must sell the large estate. The family moves to the cabin in the forest which Beauty loves, and her two sisters do not. Her Father goes hunting the Beast and never returns so Beauty goes to find him. She finds his remains in the Forest and just knows the Beast killed him. She is captured by the Beast and is taken prisoner, but she doesn’t know where.
Beast takes care of her and feeds her but why? He takes her hunting and she tries to kill him, but finds out that he can’t be killed. Why is he doing all this? Is she going to be his Prisoner forever? Where is she? Enjoy this different telling of Beauty and the Beast. I did.
