A cute story depicting a mother and her baby going grocery shopping in West Nigeria. Throughout the story, shopkeepers give baby lots of good things to eat. Baby will eat one item and then put the rest into the basket on his mother’s head. Overall, the story reminded me of “Handa’s Surprise” by Eileen Browne because the mother is unaware that her basket is growing heavier by the minute. In addition, it is a great book to illustrate normal life in Nigeria.
