The story begins with Kipling’s mother leaving home. Kipling misses his mother dearly and tries to find ways to stay close to his mother. He tries a picture, a pillow, and a snow penguin, but it is not the same. As he waits for his mother’s return, Kipling receives a package in the mail from his mother. Inside is a heart with the words “I love you.”
It is an adorable yet sad story. I was glad for the happy ending.
