Streetcar to Justice: How Elizabeth Jennings won the Right to Ride in New York

Written by Amy Hill Hearth

Begins with an interesting story of a young woman and her case against the Railway system in New York, but the book is much more than Elizabeth’s story. The rest of the book is full of historical documents about the time Elizabeth was living in New York. I liked the information but felt at times it was too much history and not enough of Elizabeth’s story. Also the book ended not with what happened to Elizabeth but the author’s journey to research her story.
