This is a great adventure book for any upper grade child who loves art, history, and a strong heroine. This book follows the story of a young girl, Beatrice, who lives in Boston with her history professor father. When her father unexpectedly accepts a new job in Italy, Beatrice’s world is turned upside down. She doesn’t let that stop her from exploring the history of her new home, make new friends, and discover a legend and a mystery that she is bound to solve. Easy read for upper level students, charming story, overall 4/5.
