Hooray for Women! celebrates the accomplishments of women throughout history, some familiar and some I’d never heard of. Each page is devoted to a different woman and her story is told in graphic novel format. Along the border outside of the panels other facts and info are shared, as well as a boy and a girl who give additional commentary and lead you through the book. It’s fun and interesting but it does make the page look really busy. I enjoyed reading about all the different women’s lives and accomplishments, as well as their failures and challenges. It will be a fun read for students, especially those who enjoy graphic novels.
