This book is very cute and has wonderful pictures. It is a story how one can become part of a whole: One stick to a nest, Many rivers to One ocean, etc. It has two sections: a top small story for smaller children, and a larger informational part for older children. The point of the story is as one creates a whole. so do individuals as families, communities, and the world.
I read this to a few of my classes as a read aloud and it was a hit! Most of the kids really liked it in grades K-4. The 5th grade was about half and half. Overall, most of the kids said they would check it out if it was in our library. :)
