This is a choose your own adventure book that is a bit scattered at best. The reader is an active participant in the pages, but the puzzles, riddles, and stories just wander and don’t accumulate to any sort of moral or uplifting purpose. I also am not a fan of books that encourage kids to break rules and say it’s okay to be “a little bad” – i.e. it’s okay to lie a little…not a message I want my children to follow. Though the illustrations are eye catching and fun, there is little substance in the rest of it.
