Such a fun book with lots of fun colors, a great message, and a whole bunch of inclusivity! This story is about two best friends, Chanda and Beth, who are so excited to go to their first school dance. Their excitement, however, is curtailed when their hopes of finding the perfect outfit and two dates are proving harder than they expected. I loved how these two support each other and are unapologetically themselves. While they both still have insecurities and obstacles they need to overcome, it is fun to see two young girls pushing through with the power of friendship. Great addition to any library!
