I really enjoyed reading book 8 of the Hilo series! Earth has been broken and Gina is back to try and save the new Earth and help DJ find his family. Gina has magic that must be kept a secret since magic has been banned from humans on Earth. She, Hilo, and DJ need to find the key to fixing the earth before it and DJ’s family is gone forever. The end of the book leaves you feeling like you need to read and find out what happens in book 9!
The pictures don’t disappoint and there’s plenty of humor in this action-packed graphic novel. The characters are fun and super likable. I can see why this is such a fun and popular series!Reviewed by Jennifer Young, Librarian, Woodstock Elementary
