Joy Ride is a cute story about a girl who needs a summer project. After talking with her granddad, they decide to fix up an old bike. Working together, they make a beautiful bike with all the fancy embellishments! However, when peers make fun of her bike, the little girl gets rid of the bike. As she moves past the hurt, she sees that it is okay to be different and to like other things than what the majority does. She gets her bike back and loves it all over again! Very sweet story with bright, vibrant pictures.
