The Legends of Eerie-on-Sea series is an exciting adventure series with many twists and turns. In this book, Herbie and his friend Violet are trying to stop Sebastian Eel’s evil plans. They need to find his hidden lair, stop the tin giant, and solve more mysteries of their past. The writing is still strong in book 4, but I think the series should have wrapped up now instead of going on to book 5. Though the story is engaging, it might drag out too much for most readers. It is getting more difficult to get students to finish one book so 5 books is a stretch. I hope readers will stick with it to the end.
