The Last Beekeeper is a mystery/adventure of a dystopian nature. Yolanda, or Yoly, discovers information about her family and the fight they have been a part of for a long time. Then, she is tasked with saving the bees in order to save her whole community.
I liked the pace of this story. It was intriguing and didn’t give too much away too fast. There are a lot of Spanish words mingled throughout the book, which are fun to read. I will recommend this book for students that are looking to get lost in a good mystery.
