Mapmaker by Lisa Moore Ramée is a magical and adventurous fantasy about a boy named Walt who discovers he can make maps come to life. He, his twin sister, and another boy travel to Walt’s created world of Djaruba. An evil mapmaker has plans for Walt, and the friends work together to stop him from destroying a world. The story moves at a quick pace and has plot twists, interesting creatures, dynamic characters, and a fun storyline. I enjoyed reading Mapmaker and I think young fantasy fans will love it too.
