The Shelterlings

Written by Sarah Beth Durst

Holly (a squirrel) wanted to be a wizard’s sidekick, so she drank from the Moon Pool and got a power, but her power was not good enough for the wizards so she got sent to the shelter. Her friend Charlie left and they got a new shelterling, but a few days later Charlie returned and said that he knew a way to not be useless. They had to return to the Moon Pool and get new powers. But Molly finds out that he tricked them and with the help of her friends she saves every one and they learn about the importance of themselves.

I loved the book and all the good messages it sends. There are so many people out there who feel like the Shelterlings: useless. But this book helps people see how they can find the good in themselves and other people. It also has a really good storyline and all the characters are really cool.
