This book was really cute and surprised me! Rani is a princess who does not have anyone to play with as everyone in the castle is so busy. So, she sets out to enjoy some time on the beach. While there, she meets a girl her age. They begin to build sandcastles together. At the end of the day, Rani is so excited for the next day so she can play with her friend again. I was surprised by the book because I thought the ending was going to be about Rani playing with her younger brother–as he showed up on every page for the first half of the book–but I enjoyed how she met someone her age. The pictures are gorgeous with vibrant colors an designs! Definitely would recommend!
