What a great book! Have you ever noticed the new kid that gets left out, or worse–been the new kid that gets left out? This story talks about how kids might think it’s easier to ignore the new kid or assume they are too different from you and your friends. But then… you turn the book upside down and read it the other way! The title changes to “Welcome the New Kid” and explains that it is just as easy to say hi as to not say hi, and that we are not so different from each other. Great story to help students understand how to learn from one another and embrace new friendships.
