This family dog is very well-loved! His owners treat him like he was their own baby. But the dynamic begins to change and Pepita, the dog, is not sure why. Grandparents are coming and bringing gifts–but not for him. Fluffy pillows and toys are being brought home–but not for him. Then, when the owners bring home a tiny little baby, Pepita realizes that he is not their baby anymore. While it is not easy, and Pepita begins to act out to get attention, he learns to love the Bebita and even to share his fluffy pillow. Very cute!

This is a good book for kids who have a pet and/or are expecting a little sibling. You see the story from the pet’s point of view. Very cutely written.
