Cute short chapter book about about a duck named Willow Feathers McBeaver who was adopted and raised by a beaver. Willow wants to be a detective, and one day when a tire ends up in her pond she gets to put her sleuthing skills to work. There are lots of fun and interesting side characters including Sal the Salamander, who loves to read. I also loved the message of how working together can fix a problem you couldn’t fix by yourself, and that “even a little duck can make a big difference.” I enjoyed the illustrations by Dan Santat and thought they added to the story.
