What a delightful book about going first! Kevin and his animal friends find a ladder that goes up to who knows where. So, they debate on who gets to go first. I liked how the book shows that sometimes it’s great to go first, but sometimes you need others as well. All places are important. And the illustrations are minimal, clever, and fun. I would say for audiences preschool to 3rd grade.
