A delightful story of a young girl who receives a plant and loving note from her aunt in the mail every month. Each plant comes tagged with its name and description. There is also a joyous reunion at the story’s end. This picture book is an ode to all the loving aunts in the world. I love the illustrations and it’s a fun introduction to house plants. The perfect read aloud for National House Plant Appreciation Day, January 10th of every year. It could also be a companion to another recent plant book, The World’s Best Class Plant by Audrey Vernick and Liz Garton Scanlon.
