The Monster Above the Bed is a very clever book with a fun premise. What does the monster under the bed think about the human above the bed? Students will relate to this childhood fear and realize that others have fears too and we need to appreciate and get to know others before we make assumptions. With fun wordplay and a tension building story, this book is sure to be a hit with the younger students. Just the title and the illustration on the cover were enough to make me want to open this book!
