Adapted for Young Readers
Written and Illustrated by David Allen Sibley
Warning! Picking up this book might make a “birder” out of you. Bird-loving grandmas can move over to make room for a new generation of bird lovers. This book is browsable nonfiction at its best. In the introduction, author David Allen Sibley encourages readers to browse and read the parts that interest them, and that is exactly what I did. Of course, I began with reading about the American Robin, my fav among birds. Inside 170 pages readers will be introduced to the science of birds, including a treasure trove of fascinating facts, paired with more than three hundred full-color illustrations, many life-size. It has a good binding for the many anticipated check-outs.
